Is it wrong to call out "kitty" or "squirrel" in order to achieve the desired facial expression for a photo? The one with perked ears, engaged face, excitement and interest? Inquiring minds want to know....
Not at all. I regularly ply my dogs with phrases such as "Do you want some breakfast?" and "Do you want to go to the park?" just for the sake of a facial expression for a photo. And yes, they understand these things as sentences. The single word almost never gets that adorable head tilt.
I repeatedly said bully stick to get that ears perked look for photos with Santa. But in my defense I did give her a bully stick after :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess it'd be bad form, Patty, to toss her a kitty or a squirrel then, huh? ;)
